Adelyn's eye condition in early 2016

Dear all friends,


Thank you for your concern for Adelyn all these while.


We are sad to say that Adelyn's cornea transplants had rejected.


All these years, as a mum, I had tried my best to give Adelyn the best treatment for her eyes.


Adelyn was also very happy that she had the oppointunty to 'see' this world for about 18 months.


Today, her cornea on both eyes had rejected. Her vision was back to those day when she only can see shadow. Adelyn is mentally prepared for this day to come.


We are grateful that she had such oppointunty, even just a short period, to see this world.


As there are many pro & con on her eye condition, we had decided not to do anymore transplant for her eyes. Over the last year, she had underwent lot of pains due to her eye conditions.


For her both eyes, one of them is getting high eye pressure, while the other is just opposite. As such, she still need to go for treatment very often to control the eye pressure.


I thank God that she was mentally very strong to go thru these treatments.




Now, I just hope that she will be happy & healthy in her life. Hope to continue to see her cheerful face everyday.

Adelyn's New Album " I can SEE!"

Adelyn's passion for composing music led her wanting to show her appreciation towards her mum by producing new music pieces. This second album was produced to show her appreciation towards her mum, to give her an opportunity to see this world.  

Since 2012, Adelyn had her artificial cornea transplants. She had restored her vision about 10%-20% of a normal vision. She is able to see a clearer layout of her surrounding. Sometimes, even can move around on her own without any help. 

However, in July 2014 to March 2015, several incidents had happened on her eyes. Rejection of cornea, eye infection & high eye pressure etc. She had again underwent a few more operations. 

Adelyn's mum feels upset each time she sent her for an operation.

Mum asked: Do you think mummy had made a wrong decision by sending you for operation from the first time?

Adelyn said: Mummy, you need not feel bad.I'm contented to be able to see, even if it's only for a while! 

In this new album, a new piece 'I See It !', is a piece to describe her feeling at the moment when she was able to see rain drops one night.

Adelyn's Condition Update

Dear friends,

It had been sometimes after Adelyn's last operation in Sept.

God blessed, she had been recovering well. We are still praying her vision will be better in future.

Today's operation on right eye.

Dear friends,

Adelyn will be going for one more round of artificial cornea transplant today on her right eye.

Her left eye which just operated on 25th August is recovering well. However, her right eye has sign of rejection. I hope you can pray with me for her operation to go smooth today at 230pm, and also pray for her that wishing this round would be her last operation. 3 operations in a roll in 3 months, It is enough for a young child like her.

These few months, she had been through lots of pains because of the operation. And also caused another impact in my family as the surgeries cost had accumulated up to more than $70K.

Nevertheless, her condition is my most concern and hope you can pray together with me today.

Today Going for Operation Again

Dear Friends,

Thank you for your support for Adelyn all these years.

Today Adelyn will be going for  another round of Artificial cornea transplant. It is because her left eye cornea is 'Melting' due to unknown reason.

Her operation will be done around 5 pm at Mount Elizabeth Novena hospital.

We will be praying for her and hope you are able to join us in the pray.

Going for another operation. Please pray with me

Hi all,

Just a update on Adelyn progress.

Since her last operation in May 2013, Adelyn's vision is much better. Is about 20% of a normal person vision.

Last week, her doctor realised that her left eye behaved unusual. The eye pressure is below the average, and her eye ball has became smaller.

She was immediately sent to a pediatrician eye doctor in SNEC. The doctor found out is membrane issue and suggested to have another operation.

Adelyn will be going for this operation today 08/7/14 @SNEC at 430pm.
